Tanya Firsova Email:firsova(at)math(dot)utoronto(dot)ca. Office:BA6191. I'm a graduate student at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Toronto. Next year I'll be postdoc at IMS, Stony Brook. My supervisor is Professor Askold Khovanskii. My thesis "Dynamical foliations" consists of two parts. In the first part I study generic properties of 1-dimensional singular holomorphic foliations on Stein manifolds. In the second part I give a description of the Critical Locus for complex Henon maps that are perturbations of a quadratic polynomial with a disconnected Julia set.My thesis. The list of changes. The background presentation on algebraic stability I gave at workshop in UIC. |
