(Toronto's 19th Annual SCRABBLE® Players Tournament)

See who won and more!

What?

National Scrabble Association Club #3 will be hosting its 19th annual tournament this fall, an open SCRABBLE® Brand Crossword Game tournament. The top division, including all players rated at least 1600, will be computer-paired Swiss. The remaining divisions will consist of exactly twelve players each, and will play complete round robins followed by one King of the Hill round. (Top players who do not fit into the round robins will join the Swiss pairing, even if they are rated below 1600.)

Round robin divisions will offer $140/$70/$40 to the first, second and third place finishers, and there will be several other noncash prizes. Cash prizes in the Swiss division will depend on the number of registrants, with no less than 56% of EF being returned in total, and no less than 30% going to the first place finisher.

The tournament will be directed this year by Club #3's acting director, John Chew.
