The Reunion Problems to be discussed at the SOAR 2001 Reunion/SIMMER meeting tentatively scheduled for Oct. 13 (in the afternoon, details later) are posted on the Problems and Notes page. Also on this page are the Treasure Hunt Problems.

It would be advisable to first read the Chapter (without solutions) and then have a look at the solutions.

Some problems and the notes for chapter 1 (minus the solutions) are here!
Give the problems a try. Don't worry if you cannot solve them all! We will discuss some of these during the SOAR program.

We have extended the deadline for applications to June 15, 2001, due to the strikes etc. that disrupted normal school proceedings recently. At this time, applications will be considered on a first come first served basis. It's advisable to e-mail MathNet at mathnet@math.utoronto.ca to let us know that you intend to participate in this year's SOAR program as soon as possible, so we can reserve a spot for you. We have a limited number of spaces available.

We also have some residence spaces available at New College for anyone who is interested in joining us from afar. Contact Kevin at summer.newcollege@utoronto.ca and mention that you will be attending SOAR 2001.

Camp location this year is in the Sidney Smith building, Room 2130. This building, located at 100 St. George St.(between College and Bloor streets) is where the Mathematics department and its library are located.
