Gregg and I came from the furthest away: Boston to Portland. Chris Lennon was welcomed to Portland by Fontes in a general tournament announcement. Chris is said to be in a bit of shock now that he is living here. He is working with David Wiegand and Lou Miller for Bob Schoenman's "financial underwriting/mortgage kind of business." Anyway, Fontes quoted Chris as saying: "In the past couple of weeks, I've gone from being the highest-rated player in my state to being the second highest-rated person in my office!"
Fontes is running a near-perfect tournament, again. However, he was 9 minutes late this morning! :)
More later!
