University of Toronto PDE/Applied Math/Analysis Seminar Friday 14 March, 1:10-2:00pm 6183 Bahen Center Speaker: Steven Dejak (University of Toronto) Title: On Blowup in the Keller-Segel model of Chemotaxis. Abstract: In this talk I report recent results on blowup of solutions of the Keller-Segel model of chemotaxis in the critical two dimensions. The main result describes the blowup dynamics for a large class of initial conditions near the stationary state (corresponding to the 'lowest energy'). The analysis reported combines rigorous, non-rigorous and numerical arguments.
