SPEAKER:  Luc Rey-Bellet (University of Massachusetts, Amherst)

TITLE:    Large deviations in hyperbolic billiards.

ABSTRACT: We present some large deviation results for ergodic 
          averages for dynamical systems which have some 
          hyperbolicity but are not necessary uniformly 
          hyperbolic. Examples are the Lorentz gas, some 
          quadratic maps of the intervals, Henon maps, etc..  
          This is a joint work with L.S. Young.
