Graduate Students and Postdocs

• Due to personal issues I cannot make long-term commitments and therefore I do not accept any Master or Phd students, or Postdocs. Sorry.

Recommendation letters

• I am writing these letters to students who took with me senior or junior classes (MAT334, APM346, or APM441) no later than Fall of 2021 (subject to change) and got at least 85 in either. I am not writing such letters based only on sophomore classes like MAT244 because graduate schools do not value much recommendation letters based on sophomore classes.
• Sending request to me please indicate all classes you took with me and when. I am not writing letter based only on MAT244 (but you must indicate this class if you took it with me).
Note that
• I always answer such requests but sometimes these request fall between cracks. If you have not receved an answer, repeat it 2 weeks later.
• I write only what I know first-hand. External documents are neither needed nor read.
• Please try to group requests together, ideally in one--three batches. Please allow at least two weeks.
