This step is not the source of the fallacy.

This step follows from the previous step ((i^2)/2 + (3i)/2i = i/(2i) + (3i)/(2i)) using the fact that i^2 = -1 (from the definition of the complex number i), and that i/i = 1 (from the definition of complex multiplication and division).
Why don't you go back to the list of steps in the proof and see if you can identify which one is wrong, now that you know it isn't this one?
