About the upcoming exam:

The exams will be written in your tutorials; you'll have 1 hr 50 min.

No tools (except writing materials) are allowed: In particular no calculators, cellular phones, or other electronic devices, and also no formula sheets or textbooks.

We will supply exam booklets.

You should bring your student ID (just in case).

The exam will cover the material discussed in class up to and including Thursday's class (Oct 13).

Yes, there will also be some question(s) involving trigonometric identities.

Yes, there will also be question(s) where you have to give rigorous proofs or carefully state definitions. (This is what this course is all about!)

For some question(s) you may not have to give 'proofs' (e.g. when you're asked to sketch the graph of a function) -- this should be clear from the context. Depending on the question (i.e. in most cases), you may still have to explain what you're doing.
