Abstract: Let G be a semisimple complex algebraic group. It is known that the connected components of the moduli space of principal G-bundles over an elliptic curve are weighted projective spaces. In this talk, I will show how one can obtain this result using invariant theory of the centrally extended loop group of G. This is joint work with Stephan Mohrdieck.
