The quiz the week of October 6-October 10 will be based on one problem from this set.
All problems are taken from the textbook for the course.
Section 1.5
3, 4, 5, 6 (a,b), 13(Hint for #13: show you can then perform some elementary row operations to introduce an all-zero row, then use exercise 15 of section 1.4. Your operations will probably only be valid under the assumption that a, b, g, and h are all non-zero; show that that's an okay assumption because if one of them is zero you already have an all-zero row or column.)
Section 1.6
1, 6, 9, 16, 20, 22, 24Section 1.7
