MAT137 - L0201 - 2019/20

This is the homepage for MAT137 L0201 (Ivan's section) for the 2019/20 academic year.
Please check this page regularly for the videos you are expected to watch before each lecture.

FIRST TERM

I hope you enjoyed the first term of MAT137, and that you have a restfull holiday break.

I've included some extra problems to practise with at the end of the slides from our last lecture. Take a look at them if you have time!

Please also take a moment to fill out our mid-year survey to tell us (and in particular to tell me) how you think we're doing. You'll find a link to the survey on the first slide from our last lecture, and in an email announcement you recently received.

SECOND TERM

Change of plans: I will no longer be holding online office hours at my usual lecture times.

Initially I was planning to hold online office hours during my usual lecture times. Instead, Asif and I have decided that I will be in the chat during his online lectures to help students with questions they may have in the chat. We observed that during his lecture there were many questions appearing in chat, and it became clear that someone should be there to answer them. That will be me, for the time being!

My apologies if you were looking forward to speaking with me online. You are of course encouraged to attend Asif's and Qin's online lectures. They're great!

I'll still be posting slides for you to think about here.
